What subjects do you teach?

Language Arts and Social Studies (grades 4-8).

How long have you been with CDA?

Since the school’s launch in 2011.

Why did you go into teaching?

My love for reading and history drew me to teaching.

Why did you join the teaching staff at CDA?

I wanted the challenge of building a new program and learning how to teach through the use of technology and the internet.

What do you enjoy most about teaching at CDA?

I enjoy seeing struggling students achieve success and thrive.

What is the CDA difference?

We want the world to know that we understand that children learn differently and learning online is a method of addressing a difference in learning styles. The CDA difference is the flexibility for the students and their families as well as having access to local teachers.

What do you enjoy doing outside of the workday?

I enjoy hunting, fishing, hiking, running and reading.
