Kim Miller-Burke

Ms. Miller-Burke brings 27 years of teaching experience to her students at Cincinnati Digital Academy (CDA). She has taught math and science in Cincinnati Public Schools for her entire career. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a master’s degree in Deaf Education.

Math and Science.

How long have you been with CDA?

Six years.

Why did you go into teaching?

I decided I wanted to be a teacher when I was in the fifth grade. I went in to teaching because I wanted to share my passion for mathematics and science.

Why did you join the teaching staff at CDA?

I started teaching at CDA because I wanted to be part of a new learning opportunity for our students.

What do you enjoy most about teaching at CDA?

I enjoy teaching at CDA because I get to share a lot of cool technology with the students that they can use to assist them with their education.

What is the CDA difference?

We offer a rigorous curriculum, and our program allows for flexibility.

What do you enjoy doing outside of the workday?

My favorite things to do are read books, listen to music, go to the movies with my son, play golf with my husband and bake cookies with my granddaughter.
