What subjects do you teach?
How long have you been with CDA?
Why did you go into teaching?
I always wanted to teach. I took a nontraditional path and returned to college in my late twenties.
Why did you join the teaching staff at CDA?
The position opened up and is in line with the degree I am pursuing: a doctorate in E-Learning. I am working online to further my education as my students are working online to graduate from high school!
What do you enjoy most about teaching at CDA?
The ability to have one-to-one contact with my students and offer the individual assistance some of them need. My colleagues are an amazing group of educators. We all have the same desire to help our students succeed.
What is the CDA difference?
The educators and years of experience that we bring to the online classroom. Being able to work anytime and work ahead. The CDA difference is we are aware that students sometimes need a different setting to be successful. Our online program offers students the ability to work from home in an environment that is better suited for their successful learning. At CDA, our experienced staff works with the students to successfully complete their academic course in order to pursue careers or enter into post-secondary education.
What do you enjoy doing outside of the workday?
I have traveled out West to see my favorite locations: Grand Canyon, Painted Desert, Mt. Rushmore, the Badlands, Yellowstone National Park and Jackson Hole. I enjoy camping, photography and being with my friends.
